Peugeot 205 cj 106 gti 16v conversion white convertible 1989 project classic car

1989 peugeot 205 cj with a 106 gti 16v engine conversion up for auction. It does run and drive but listing as a project because it hasn’t been used in years and will need work to finish, buyer will need to arrange towing and the car needs to be paid for in cash. I have the keys, full logbook and some history. It has the 106 gti 16v engine and a few other more modern parts like the 306 twin fan radiator, front brakes and I can’t remember which peugeot the master cylinder is off but that also is a more modern upgrade. The loom for the engine is complete and is joined to the existing one so the dash lights etc all work. It has a 1.9 gti fuel tank so it has the pump capable of running the engine. It’s lowered approx 50mm on the front on springs can’t remember how much the rear is lowered but the rear arches have been rolled in so they don’t catch. The wheels are part alloy (spares off a c5 I believe) rare to find a set and very light. It has a straight through exhaust which sounds great. Roof opens and closes fine (I had to replace one of the latches and they were like finding hens teeth). I also have the tonneau cover for when the roof is down. Things I know it needs sorting are a new cam belt kit because the tensioner and idlers have worn and the belt walks slightly to the edge of the cam sprockets and new fuel lines underneath (I have put rubber fuel hoses on it as a temporary fix just to get it running but think these would need changing for mot purposes and safety). The passenger door lock needs work hence the doorcard being removed i do have it though for the winning bidder (cti door cards). The rear window needs replacement due to a small crack but rest of roof fine. Some welding here and there but nothing someone who knows what they’re doing wouldn’t be capable of, it’s a 30 year old car so to be expected. There maybe a few other bits that I haven’t noticed so please judge it as a project. One last thing, if you cannot afford it, arrange collection and complete the deal don’t bid, sorry to genuine ebayers but not everyone understands how eBay works. If you’d like to look at it before the auction ends then that’s ok, not after you’ve won the bid. Thanks for looking, any questions please ask.
